Family, newborn and maternity photography in Auckland

Warm, connection-led photographs that hold the real feeling of your season.

The small, in-between moments you’ll want to keep.

A man is holding a young girl on his shoulders in a mountain landscape with snow-capped peaks and a grassy field.
A young girl with red hair and a white headband, sitting outdoors in a white dress, holding a small bouquet of dried flowers in her hand, with her eyes closed and a gentle smile, during sunset in a field of tall grasses.

I photograph families the way they actually are. The cuddle before everyone’s ready, the look that passes between you, the noise and the stillness of life with little ones.

My work sits between art and memory. Natural, unforced and deeply felt, so that years from now you don’t just see how your family looked. You feel how it was.

  • Three ways to hold onto this season

Relaxed, connection-led photography for the families of the Hibiscus Coast and Auckland.

  • Family Sessions

On-location family photography at beaches, parks and outdoor spaces I know and trust. Relaxed, unhurried, and true to how your family actually feels.

  • Newborn Sessions

Those first soft, fleeting weeks, photographed gently and without fuss. Most sessions are held in my studio - a quiet space away from the busyness of home, where you can slow down and simply be.

    Maternity Sessions

The waiting and the wondering, before everything changes. Quiet, beautiful maternity photography that marks the in-between.

Behind the lens

Meet Megan

Hi, I’m Megan. For ten years I’ve been photographing families across Auckland and the Hibiscus Coast, and in that time I’ve learned that the photos people hold onto are rarely the perfectly posed ones.

They’re the in-between ones. A hand reaching up, a shared joke, the way your child still fits in your arms right now.

I work quietly and let the day unfold, so what you’re left with feels like you, not a performance of you.

Documenting this season of your life, exactly as it is now.

For photographers

Learn to photograph connection, not just composition

If your images are technically good but feel a little flat, it’s usually not your camera or your settings. It’s the connection. This is where I teach what ten years behind the lens has taught me.
